With an independent local business. Every camp, surf house and experience here is run by one, and each is verified before it can list. Listings show the verification rather than the operator's name; you are given their full details, including how to contact them, as soon as your booking is confirmed. The marketplace introduces you and handles the deposit — it does not operate any of the camps itself.

You pay a deposit online when you book, and the balance directly to the supplier when you arrive. The deposit is the marketplace commission, so the platform never holds money that belongs to the supplier. The exact split is shown on every listing before you pay.

Before a business can publish a single listing it has to apply, provide its legal and contact details, and be approved by hand. Suppliers who stop meeting the standard are suspended, which removes their listings from the marketplace immediately.

Yes. A review can only be written against a booking made through this site that the supplier has marked as completed, so nobody can review a stay that did not happen. Listings with no reviews yet simply show none rather than a made-up score.

Each supplier sets its own cancellation policy and it is shown in full on the listing. The marketplace can refund the deposit it holds according to that policy; the balance is between you and the supplier, since it is paid to them directly.

No. The price on the listing is the total price, commission included. You are not charged a separate booking fee on top.

Apply through the supplier page. There is no listing fee and no subscription — the marketplace earns only when you take a booking, and the balance is paid to you directly by the guest.

No. The beach breaks north of Agadir are among the most forgiving learning waves anywhere, and most camps listed here teach from zero. Most first-timers stand up on day one.

Roughly 17 to 19 degrees Celsius for much of the year, reaching about 21 to 22 at the end of summer. A cold current and seasonal upwelling keep it cooler than the latitude suggests, so a 3/2 full wetsuit is normal from November to June and a shorty works in late summer. Wetsuits are included.

Six nights is the usual minimum. Most operators run the inland leg from a fixed departure day, so extra surf days are added before it rather than after — check the listing for the day it leaves.

About 700 kilometres to the dunes of Erg Chebbi, crossing the High Atlas at the 2,260 metre Tizi n'Tichka pass. Operators normally split it across two days with stops at Ait Ben Haddou and the Todra gorges rather than driving it straight through.

October, November, March and April. Swell is consistent, desert days sit in the twenties and nights are cool rather than freezing. July and August are best avoided for the desert leg, when daytime temperatures reach 40 to 47 degrees.

Groups are usually eight to fourteen guests, with a maximum of six to eight students per instructor in the water so everyone gets corrected rather than just supervised.

Solo travellers are the majority at most Moroccan surf camps. Shared lessons, shared meals and a long drive mean you will know everyone by the second day whether you planned to or not.

Agadir is 25 to 40 minutes from the surf villages. Trips that finish in Marrakech make an open-jaw ticket into Agadir and out of Marrakech usually cheaper than two one-way fares, and it saves a redundant transfer.

Not by default. Most suppliers can arrange Agadir airport pickup and will confirm the cost when you book; each listing states whether transfers are included. Guests arriving on the same flight normally share one.

A good camp checks the forecast every morning and drives to whatever suits the group. On genuinely flat days that usually means the most exposed beach breaks, surf-skate sessions, and land activities brought forward.

A Berber-style tent with a proper bed and heavy blankets, in a camp within the dunes of Erg Chebbi. Shared tents are standard and private tents can be requested. Nights are cold from November to February, so bring a warm layer.

At coastal accommodation, generally yes. In the desert expect little or no signal and limited power, so download maps and music before leaving the coast and bring a power bank.

Yes. Partners can do yoga, the hammam, Paradise Valley, the markets and the whole desert leg without touching a board. Many suppliers offer a reduced non-surfer rate — ask on the listing.

Most coastal camps take children from around eight with a parent present; each listing sets its own minimum age. The long driving days on desert trips are hard on younger kids, so check with the supplier first.

You pay a 15% deposit online, which is the marketplace commission, and the remaining 85% directly to the supplier when you arrive. Both figures are shown on the listing before you pay.

Yes, and check that surfing is covered — some policies classify it as an excluded adventure sport. Check quad biking separately if you plan to ride in the dunes.
