What the types mean
A surf camp is a week with structure: a bed, meals, a board and coached sessions every day, sold as one price. A lesson or a guided session is bought by the hour or the day and assumes you have somewhere to sleep already. A trip — a surfari, a liveaboard, a private charter — moves between breaks instead of working out from one base.
The pairings are what they sound like. Surf and yoga alternates sessions with mat time, which is the difference between paddling on day four and not. Surf and language builds lessons into the same week. Surf and diving, kayaking or spa swap the second half of the day for something that is not surfing, which matters more than people expect when the swell disappears for two days.

When to come
The Atlantic swell is most reliable from October to March, which is also when the point breaks north of Taghazout get busy. Summer is smaller, warmer and better for a first week on a board.
