Surf Camp Morocco is a booking marketplace for surf camps, surf houses, lessons and guided trips in Morocco. Every experience listed here is run by an independent local business. We do not operate any of them.
What the platform actually does
Three things: it checks that the businesses listing here are real and reachable, it puts their listings in one place so they can be compared honestly, and it takes the deposit that confirms a booking. Everything that happens on the ground — the lessons, the beds, the meals, the driving — is the supplier's, and so is the responsibility for it.
Your contract for the stay itself is with the operator, not with this marketplace. That is not a disclaimer buried in the terms; it is the shape of the whole arrangement. Listings show that the operator has been verified rather than naming them, and you are given their name, address and contact details as soon as your booking is confirmed — before you travel, and before you pay them anything.
How suppliers are checked
A business cannot publish anything by signing up. It applies, provides its legal name, address, contact details and whatever certifications and insurance it holds, and a person reviews the application. Only once it is marked verified can a single listing go live.
Verification is not permanent. A supplier that stops meeting the standard is suspended, and suspension removes its listings from search and from every destination page immediately rather than at the end of a billing period.
How the money works
You pay a 15% deposit online when you book. That deposit is the platform's commission. The remaining 85% is paid directly to the supplier when you arrive.
This is deliberate, and it has a consequence worth stating plainly: the platform never holds money that belongs to a supplier, so there is no escrow and no payout to wait for. It also means the platform can only refund the part it actually holds. The balance is between you and the supplier, under the cancellation policy shown on their listing.
The price on a listing is the total price. The commission is already inside it — there is no separate booking fee added at checkout.
Reviews
A review can only be written against a booking made through this site that the supplier has marked as completed. Nobody can review a stay that did not happen, and nobody can buy a rating here.
The trade-off is that new listings show no score at all rather than a flattering placeholder. A listing with no reviews yet is exactly that, and it is shown as such.
Where our interests lie
The platform earns a commission on bookings, so it earns more when you book than when you do not. The guides, surf-spot pages and destination pages are written by the platform rather than by suppliers, and they are not sold — a supplier cannot pay to be recommended in them, to rank higher in search, or to have a spot page describe their town more warmly.
One further disclosure: the business that founded this marketplace also lists on it as a supplier. Its listings carry its own name like everyone else's and are subject to the same verification, the same commission and the same review rules.
