About Private Surf Lesson in Morocco

A private lesson is one instructor and one surfer, and the difference it makes is almost entirely about feedback latency: in a group you are corrected every few waves, one to one you are corrected on every wave.

That matters most at two points. At the very start, because bad habits set in a single session and are slow to remove afterwards. And at the plateau, when you can stand up in whitewater but cannot get out the back or turn — a stage where group lessons stop helping because the whole group is not stuck on the same thing.

It costs several times a group place, which is the honest trade. Two or three days of private instruction usually moves someone further than a week of group sessions, so on a short trip it can be the cheaper route to actually surfing. Check whether the price is per person or per instructor, because two friends can often share one.

Who it suits

Short trips where every session counts, nervous first-timers, and improvers stuck between whitewater and the line-up.
