Wing foiling is the newest of these and the one growing fastest on this coast, because it needs less wind than kiting and turns the marginal days — too windy to surf, not windy enough to kite — into the best days of the week.
That is the real argument for it in Morocco. Onshore afternoon wind ruins surf conditions almost daily here in summer, and a wing turns exactly that into a session. Agadir bay and the Essaouira coast are the usual spots; the flat shallow water at Dakhla is ideal for learning.
It is harder to start than it looks and easier than kiting to progress in. Expect the first sessions to be on a large board with no foil, then a foil in flat water, and expect a helmet and impact vest to be non-negotiable — the mast and wings are sharp and the falls are frequent early on.
