About Private Surf Trips in Morocco

A private trip is the same coast with the schedule handed back to you: your own guide, your own vehicle, and a plan built around your group rather than around whoever else booked that week.

The usual reasons are practical. A family with mixed abilities cannot run on a group timetable; a group of friends wants to start later; somebody has five days and needs every one of them to count. Private also means the guide can move you on a forecast at an hour's notice, which a fixed group session cannot do. Instruction is usually one-to-one or one-to-two rather than one-to-six, which is where most of the progress difference comes from.

It costs more per person, and the gap narrows the larger the group — four or five people splitting a private guide and vehicle often pay close to group rates. Listings priced per group rather than per person say so on the card. Check what is actually private: some listings mean private instruction but shared transport, which is a different thing.

Who it suits

Families, groups of friends travelling together, surfers on a short trip who cannot afford a wasted session, and anyone who has outgrown group lessons but is not ready to go unguided.
