About Surf Guiding in Morocco
Guiding is not instruction. A guide assumes you can already catch unbroken waves and paddle out unassisted, and sells you the two things that are genuinely hard to arrange yourself: knowing which of forty breaks is working this morning, and getting to it.
On this coast that is worth real money. The swell window, wind direction and tide state interact differently at every headland between Agadir and Essaouira, and a visitor reading a forecast app will get it wrong for the first few days. A guide who surfs here daily will not, and will also know which car parks are safe and where the rip runs.
Most guiding is sold by the day with transport included, sometimes with a packed lunch, and it is the normal way experienced surfers use a week here without booking a full camp. It pairs naturally with accommodation booked separately.
Who it suits
Surfers who can already ride green waves, visitors with their own accommodation, and anyone who does not want to spend the week guessing.
