About Beginner Surf Camp in Morocco

A beginner camp is the standard Morocco surf week and the reason most people come: a bed, meals, board and suit, and two coached sessions a day on beach breaks chosen for the tide rather than for the view.

The week has a shape. Days one and two are whitewater and pop-ups; by day three or four most people are riding unbroken waves straight; a minority turn by the end. That progression is normal and a camp promising more than it in five days is selling something. Sessions run at Tamraght, Banana, Crocodile and Taghazout Plage — sand, not the rock points.

What to compare between listings is instructor ratio, how many sessions a day, whether theory and video review are included, and what happens when the surf is too big. A good beginner camp cancels and drives you somewhere smaller; a bad one puts you in it anyway.

Who it suits

First-timers, anyone who has had a handful of lessons at home, and travellers who want the whole week arranged rather than assembled.
