About Day Trips in Morocco
Excursions are the day trips that fill the space around surfing — Paradise Valley, the Imouzzer waterfalls, argan cooperatives, the Souss estuary, Agadir souk and the Timlalin dunes — and they matter more on a surf holiday than they sound.
The reason is the ocean. Surf weeks have flat days and blown-out afternoons, and a coast that was the whole point on Monday can offer nothing on Thursday. An excursion turns that into a day rather than a loss, and most of the options inland are an hour or less from Taghazout.
Almost all are half or full day with transport from your accommodation. Check the walking involved and the footwear it needs — the walk into the Paradise Valley pools is twenty minutes over uneven rock and catches people out in flip-flops — and whether entry fees and lunch are in the price.
